Wrapping up March

My first wrap-up! I cannot believe March went so fast!

I did, let’s see, 5 posts this month. *shuffles guiltily* However, I’m very proud of my haikus! My post, Some stuff I wrote has the highest amount of likes I’ve ever gotten. Thanks everybody! I feel really appreciated! : )

I do not have much to look forward to in April. Cross that out. Anything at all. So let’s get on with Books I Read in this month.

I devoured read five books during this month, and I’m currently reading Magnus Chase and The Sword of Summer and Percy Jackson and The Greek Heroes. They were:

1. Heroes of Olympus and The Lost Hero
2. Heroes of Olympus and The Son of Neptune
3. Heroes of Olympus and The Mark of Athena
4. Heroes of Olympus and The House of Hades (the first book during which I sobbed cried.)
5. Heroes of Olympus and The Blood of Olympus

Lots of variety, right?

A review may or may not be possible because of my highly packed day, I barely find time for myself.

Admittedly, I do not listen to a lot of songs. *cue you all asking me how because nearly everyone I know nowadays is addicted to songs and I’m not even exaggerating* I dunno, I’m not obsessed with artists or songs. I never was. I think. Anyway, the top 5 songs I listened to are:

  1. I Want You by Savage Garden
  2. Rasputin by Boney M.
  3. honey by Coastal Club
  4. Darling (from the Hindi movie Saat Khoon Maaf)
  5. Getaway Car by Taylor Swift

Let’s hope I do more than 5 posts in April! 😜

Until next time!

Haikus yet again

Writing haikus can be stressful, but the end results are generally awesome (oh look, two syllables. Awe-some). *cue you all crying because sNIGDHA HAS GOTTEN INTO A HAIKU PHASE*

Music calms you down
But, but it can hurt you too
Forever keeps changing

A fresh start is good
Always reinvigorates
You feel positive

(I had to write this one for school.)

They are difficult
But Apollo’s haikus suck
Oh damn, I got cursed

(If anyone didn’t get it, Apollo is the Greek god of poetry, and hence, haikus. In Percy Jackson series, he recites godawful (pun intended) haikus like HUGE SPOILER ALERT FOR THE TITAN’S CURSE YOU WILL REGRET READING THIS DON’T READ THIS IF YOU HAVEN’T READ IT AND PLAN TO DO SO. ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️Ok. Everyone gone? Great. “Green grass breaks through snow./Artemis waits for my help./I am so awesome.” Terrible, right? RIGHT?)

Okay then! Bye!

Book review- BOY

Hiiii

So today I’m reviewing BOY by Roald Dahl (I mean who doesn’t love that guy!)

Ok so the book is his early biography

Like his school days and summer vacations

Its filled with fun and cheeky things he did as a boy like eating lots and lots of candy , Dealing with 6 brothers and sisters , faking illnesses and even almost murdering someone! (Dont worry its fun its a twist you will have to figure out)

Its my absolute fav and Id love if u guys read it too

On a scale of one to 10 I….TS A 10!

The truth is the real reason the book attracted me was its honesty

Most writers would twist the tales to make them good look but MR Dhal had both his achievement and failures in it

Its highly relatable since we all are kids just like him in his olden days and just like him love going school with friends, eating LOADS candy (Or is that just me???)and enjoying summer holidays with our grandparents

BTW Happy chhoti holi everyone!

Incase u didnt know what that is wait for my post tomm!

Hope you liked the post

bye

My favourite Percy Jackson quotes

Okay, I’ve truly got the Percy Jackson bug. THE SERIES IS AMAZING, CAN YOU BLAME ME? Here’s to hoping most of them are there in the TV adaptation!

With great power… comes great need to take a nap. Wake me up later. -Nico di Angelo, Percy Jackson and The Last Olympian

I cannot agree more.

Deadlines aren’t real to me until I’m staring one in the face. -Percy Jackson, Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief

*my procrastinating self shuffles guiltily*

“You hit the lord of the Titans in the eye with a blue plastic hairbrush.” -Percy Jackson, Percy Jackson and the Battle of the Labyrinth

Rachel is many things, and among them shines the word fearless.

Percy: “Why can’t you place a blessing like that on us?”
Grover: “It only works on wild animals.”
Annabeth: “So it would only affect Percy,”
Percy: “Hey!”Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief

Ok, so, I read the books from my mother’s school library, and I still have this one saved in my album. I loved it that much. Look:

Bye!

Some stuff I wrote

Hello!!

Today you shall get tortured treated to some haikus I wrote! I’ve actually never tried my hand at writing these, so this is my first experience!

An old silent pond
A frog jumps into the pond—
Splash! Silence again.

Matsuo Basho

The rain goes pit-pat
It’s soothing, nice, relaxing
I feel peaceful, good

Books are your best friends
Always there for you, are cool
Forever listening

Beautiful and soft
Thorny stems but very pretty
Roses represent love

Keep you snug and warm
Suck you in and you just drown in
Quilts are comfortable (this one is pathetic)

And, because I’ve finished Heroes of Olympus (the series was brilliant, by the way) and don’t have new books to read anymore, I wrote one on grief.

Grief wraps, entangles
Pulls you in its deep, deep depths
Grief is absolutely vicious

*expectantly looks at everyone for applause* *is greeted by silence* *crickets chirp*

Until next time! 👋

Harry Potter

My favourite Harry Potter quotes

Because why not? It’ll be from books and movies both!

1. No need to call me sir, Professor.– Harry Potter, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (book)

#fearless

I clearly remember the first time I read this utterly savage quote in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, I put my book down and went, “Oh, damnnnnnnn! That must have HURT!” And I still do. Every. Single. Time.

2. Turn to page 394.– Severus Snape, Prisoner of Azkaban (movie)

I love the way Alan Rickman delivered this dialogue, which resulted in it becoming one of the most legendary lines in the Harry Potter fandom.

3. We could have been killed, or worse, expelled.– Hermione Granger, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (book)

How 10-year-old Emma Watson (yeah, she was 10 at the time of shooting the movie) is excellent and made me laugh a lot. And I’m sure I’m not the only one!

4. We’ve got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That’s who we really are.– Sirius Black, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (book)

Sirius could have been a loyal Death Eater to Voldemort, inherit his family’s vast fortune and be the perfect son in general, if he had chosen the Dark side. However, he did not do any of that. He remained loyal to his best friends, godson and The Order of the Phoenix until his last breath and fiercely hated The Dark Lord and his followers. I find that really admirable.

5. Working hard is important. But there is something that matters more: believing in yourself.– Harry Potter, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (movie)

This is so true. It really speaks to me. I can’t verbally express how much I adore this quote. If you don’t believe in yourself, you will immediately lose the will to work hard.
